Commonwealth Scholarships for master’s studies in the United Kingdom are available for nationals of developing Commonwealth countries. The Department for International Development (DFID) of the United Kingdom is funding these scholarships (DFID).

Commonwealth master’s scholarships for international students are available under six themes:
- Science and technology development
- Strengthening health and energy systems
- Promoting global prosperity
- Promoting peace, security, and governance
- Strengthening resilience and responding to the global crisis

Commonwealth Masters Scholarship value/inclusions:
Each Scholarship covers travel to and from the United Kingdom, as well as tuition and examination fees, a stipend, a thesis award (if eligible), and an initial arrival allowance. Eligibility:
To be eligible for these scholarships:
- You must be a British Protected Person or a citizen of an eligible Commonwealth country.
- Be a permanent resident of a Commonwealth country that qualifies.
- Be ready to begin your academic studies in the UK by September/October 2020, when the UK academic year begins.
- Have an upper second class (2:1) honors degree or a second class degree with appropriate postgraduate qualification (typically a Master’s degree) by October 2020. A second Master’s degree in the United Kingdom would not generally be funded by the CSC. If you’re applying for a second Master’s degree in the United Kingdom, you’ll need to explain why you want to do so.
- Would not be able to afford to study in the United Kingdom if not for this scholarship
- Have provided all supporting documentation in the required format
